The course ESE426 Introduction to Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) is a Year 2 Level 4 course designed for in-service teachers pursuing a Bachelor of Education at the University of Goroka. It is part of the Inclusive Education program and emphasizes disability inclusion in community settings. The course equips teachers with the knowledge and skills to work with people with disabilities and their communities, applying CBR principles to create inclusive environments. Students will explore how to develop CBR programs, address the diverse needs of persons with disabilities, and foster collaboration among community stakeholders, educators, and healthcare professionals. The course is divided into two modules to ensure a comprehensive understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of CBR and inclusive education.
