This course is offered to second year in-service students who take curriculum studies as their major program as well as second year in-service students in other programs. The purpose of this course is to prepare students to apply theories of educational policies in schools in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Students will identify the different education policies has guided curriculum in PNG.
Students will also explore and describe the international and national factors that contribute policy decisions in PNG education. In addition, in a broader perspective but within the domain of policy, students will explore theories and processes involved in policy development and further identify the policy deficits during the implementation stage of policies.
