This unit examines major artistic styles and movements across the visual arts, music, dance, drama, and
media, with a focus on the influential artists who have shaped them. Students will survey key periods in art
history and contemporary practice, examining how cultural, social, and political contexts influence artistic
expression. Through research, analysis, and practical exploration, students will critically engage with both
global and local art forms, developing an informed perspective on style, technique, and innovation. The
unit encourages students to draw connections between historical influences and their own creative work.
