
The course will introduce students to the discipline of geography. It has been developed to explore some of the basic geographical concepts, thoughts and skills in two streams of Geography; Human and Physical. Study will focus on both streams to gain an appreciation of their positions in Geography. Students need to conceptualize that at this introductory course, native plants, animals and human resources are the centers of study of their interactions occurring between human and physical/natural environments.
Learning outcomes
- Learn and explore new introductory geographical concepts and thoughts
- Learn the basic skills in interpretation and analyzing parameters in both physical and cultural geography.
- Conceptualize that there is an interaction occurring between physical/ environmental and cultural geographies.
- Conduct practical tasks that involve applying geographical skills which are applied during the field work
