Public Health

Public Health introduces students to the principles and practices of promoting and protecting the health of individuals, families, and communities. The course explores major public health issues in Papua New Guinea, including communicable and non-communicable diseases, environmental health, nutrition, maternal and child health, health promotion, disease prevention, and community health. Students will develop an understanding of factors that influence health and learn how to plan and deliver appropriate health education and promotion activities to address community health needs.
