Curriculum
and Instruction introduces students to the principles and
practices of curriculum development, health education, teaching, and learning.
The course focuses on curriculum planning, development of learning objectives,
selection of appropriate teaching and learning methods, lesson planning,
preparation of teaching and learning resources, classroom management, and
assessment of learners. Students will explore different teaching strategies and
approaches for working with individuals, groups, and communities. The course
develops students’ skills and confidence to plan, deliver, and evaluate
effective, learner-centred health education in classroom, clinical, and
community settings.
