
Good decisions and solutions to any environmental problems require good data analysis and interpretation skills. Environmental Statistic and Analysis looks at the various types of environmental problems and questions, design of research projects and types of data collected and analysis to provide answers and solutions. This course will introduce various ways of analyzing environmental data, mainly quantitative, but also qualitative data. It will introduce students to ways of organizing data, summarizing them, some basic statistical tests and when to apply them. Students will learn how to apply some of these statistical tests, and how to interpret the statistical numbers biologically/environmentally.
