This course is designed to develop in students knowledge and skills in garment construction in PNG and the Pacific. Topics will include the relationship between garment style, function, fabric characteristics, fabric choice and construction techniques using the design process to create, from concept to finished product; factors influencing personal requirements in clothing; and use of a range of products and equipment. students will develop skills in using the bodice and skirt and or pants block to produce a dress block and an overall. to further develop blocks into styles of clothing choice with the application of the facing skills and construct the garment.
