This course introduces the Bachelor of Education in-service students to the concepts of educational planning and more specifically introduces students to ideas and practices of putting together an institutional plan at the school level. The concepts of educational planning connecting to actual plans are introduced to students. The three types of institutional planning of operational, tactical and strategic planning methods will be studied from which students will be engaged to develop a strategic plan for any of their school programs and activities as a major project.
The course will be studied under ten (10) topics in the following order; definitions of educational planning, importance of planning at school level, types of educational planning, the three levels of educational planning, the five (5) stages of educational planning, the main features of educational planning, the planning techniques, the scope of educational planning, interaction of activities and feedback, factors
