The Curriculum and Instruction in Tourism and Hospitality Management course is designed to expose students to the philosophical foundations for tourism and hospitality education as a pathway to vocation and academia. Emphasis will be placed on analysis of the Tourism and Hospitality Curriculum for Secondary Schools and the TVET institutions. The topics include Tourism and Hospitality curriculum studies, comparing and contrasting the TVET and Secondary School curriculum and instructional strategies and assessment processes. Further, to identify and evaluate processes for effective curriculum implementation, foster ways to integrate tourism and hospitality studies with other subjects, investigate assessment processes and standards, and design assessment instruments to determine students learning. Professionalism, Ethics and management skills that students learn will prepare them for the workplace.
