Research is one of the most important aspects of a University education and it goes without saying that the ability to do research quickly and effectively is an essential skill for anyone who wishes to succeed at school or in their career. These are not just academic or professional skills. They are essential survival skills. That is exactly what this course is about: learning how to navigate the twists and turns on the information superhighway in search of answers.
Students will learn how to create relevant research questions about topics of interest and how to go about looking for information and how to analyse that information to reach the answers they need. In doing so, students will learn how to make and implement a research plan and they will learn about basic research methods.
