This course will introduce the students to computing skills used in the field of geography, urban planning, environment and other related fields. It has been developed to explore and develop the skills in geography focusing on the students’ understanding of the computer applications used as tools to creating and formulating charts, graphs and editing them in the field of physical and human geography with emphasis on climatology, biogeography, environment and demography.

The course will also cover basic skills in the research skills using Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher with an aim of enhancing and broadening the students research and mapping development skills that would enable them to develop an overall competency in computer and research skills to be used in geographical fields as well as all other fields and disciplines.
