This course covers advanced study in soil science with relevant applications in managing and conserving the fertility of tropical soils. Land forms and usage in PNG and land assessments and problem solving techniques are some of the key contents. The material presented in lectures is complemented by a comprehensive practical program which includes laboratory and field based components using modern high technology equipment. This includes the sampling and analysis of soil from a field trial at the UOG model farm.
