Neonatal Health provides students with knowledge and skills to care for
newborns from birth through the early neonatal period. The course covers normal
newborn assessment, essential newborn care, breastfeeding, infection prevention,
common neonatal problems, and the management of complicated newborn cases.
Students will learn to recognise newborns who require additional care, provide
appropriate interventions, monitor their condition, and make timely referrals.
The course prepares students to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based
care to newborns and support mothers and families.
