This is a modern-approach calculus-based introductory physics for scientist and engineers. It covers a wide range of subjects and will introduce both classical and contemporary ideas in physics, with an emphasis placed on the role of fundamental principles and their relationship to physical laws. The course introduces students to an account of wave propagation and the properties of the wave equation in its application to transverse, longitudinal waves in solid, sound waves in gases and solids with study of the properties such as reflection, refraction, superposition including interferences and diffraction. The optical and quantum waves in application of special and general relativities will be looked as introductory.
