This course trains students to assess agricultural and socio-economic situations, identify problems, constraints or opportunities, then develop aims, objectives or hypotheses and develop a research plan. The key principles of scientific and social research are applied when designing and developing plans for experimentation and surveys. It is envisaged that, having gone through this course, students will have the skills necessary to develop a feasible experimentation or survey plan for review and implementation in the final year SAE 472
