Enrolment options

The course is targeted at pre-service students, experienced teachers, curriculum planners, curriculum developers, senior education bureaucrats, and teacher educators. It focuses on what curriculum entails and its impacts in the context of development, implementation and evaluation. Papua New Guinea, among many nations in the world are reforming curriculum to accommodate vast array of changes in society periodically.

Students are exposed to questions such as why, how, when, where, whom and what in relation to curriculum transformation in society. Themes addressed include factors influencing educational changes in Papua New Guinea; education reform, curriculum changes at the early childhood in phasing out elementary, primary and secondary levels of schooling; Standards Based Education, Outcomes Base Education and Objective Based Curriculum, managing curriculum change, mentoring for transformation of school culture, improving school culture; assessments policy and practice, facilitation skills; and action research to sustain curriculum reform.
